advice for bridal shower
A bridal shower is given in hopes that the bride-to-be is well prepared for her married life. These gifts are to provide her with gifts to help her set up her new home.

Traditionally the maid of honor hosts the bridal shower. The bridal shower hostess should invite female family members of both the bride and groom, close female friends of the bride should also be included on this list. The bride should provide you with a guest list. It is best to schedule a bridal shower two months in advance. Be sure to ask the bride if this date fits into her plans.

Usually invites are mailed out 1 month prior to the shower date. The invites should include the following information:

• Name of the bride to be
• Date of the shower
• Time of the shower
• Address of where shower is being held
• Name and phone number of hostess(s)
• RSVP date
• A map of the shower location

On the day of the shower the hostess should greet the guests. When all the guests have arrived the hostess should introduce herself and her relationship to the bride-to-be. Usually this is the time for any planned activities, this is a good idea it helps the guest interact with each other. After all the activities the food should be served. Make sure during this time to toast the bride-to-be. Once the food has been served, and cleared away it would be time for the bride-to-be to start opening her gifts. Hostess should remember to thank all the guests for coming.
